Pam Zonsius, a New York designer, businesswoman & mother came upon the idea to create a goodlooking and nature friendly umbrella after she observed a street full of broken ugly umbrellas after a heavy storm. Her creativity, together with bamboo, cotton string and biodegradable transparant canopy produced "the brelli" (www.thebrelli.com).

Within 5 years, a "brelli" put in the soil is biodegraded. A "cradle to cradle" certification is hanging.
